LSE Library to Suspend Fines

The Library is changing its policy for overdue books during Michaelmas term.

If you have an overdue loan you will no longer be charged a fine- but you won’t be able to borrow anything else until your overdue book is either returned or renewed.

Books that have been requested by another student must be returned.

The Library has moved to Library Search, a new collection management system, and as part of this change the Library is trialling this new approach to overdue books.

The Library believes that this will make it easier for LSE students to manage their Library accounts, while ensuring that books are circulated promptly and fairly. The Library will review the policy at the end of the Michaelmas term.
