LSE’s Netball 1st team pocketed a solid win scoring 63 goals against St Bart’s 2nds conceding only 15. The team started off strong with a 14 goal lead in the first quarter and continued on such a role throughout the match, scoring an amazing 22 goals in the third quarter. The attack gave St. Bart’s’ defence a run for their money. Maisie Simmonds, Harriet Arnone and Molly avery as the teams shooters for the match maintained much of the possession and popped in all 63 of their goals effortlessly. Such successes were equally enabled by the help of the defence and the centre court. Leo Molesly, Molly Tynka, Jenny Stokell and Christie Chapman turned over nearly every centre pass with Christie as GD earning the player of the match award. Kathleen Murty and captain Jihea Kim played key parts in bringing the ball down the court and throwing expert passes into the attack. Overall it was a great win and the team are confident they can maintain a similar standard of netball throughout the season
